Three Players Who Could Go Off in the NBA Bubble
As the NBA season is only days away from starting we are finally seeing guys on the court showing their play in the eyes of the public. Many guys took their quarantine to ramp up their regiment and better their craft as players. From what I have seen these are three players that I think have the chance to go off in the bubble.
Nikola Jokic
Jokic has a chance to go off and to me, there is one huge factor, his weight. We all knew Jokic for his size and ability to get to the basket, but at the same time, it was clear how out of shape he was. Now though it is very clear that he has slimmed down immensely which can help him a shit ton and can also be a liability. Jokic does have the chance to capitalize on his ability to move up and down the floor and get to the basket while continuing his strong presence outside the three-point line. What could limit him though is his ability to rebound and be able to operate in the post. So I think if he can still rebound efficiently and operate in the post with his new figure, he has the chance to shine.
Jayson Tatum
I am very excited to see how Tatum plays in the bubble. In his third year in the league and being named to his first all-star team, his ceiling is very high. He is having his best season averaging 23.6 points a game, 7.6 rebounds a game of shooting 45% from the field and 40% from three. He has established himself as one of the top-scoring options on the team and is only getting better. Plus with the fact that Celtics are huge contenders to come out of the east this year, Tatum’s confidence is going to continue to grow which will continue to elevate his game to even greater heights.
Lebron James
The Los Angeles Lakers are clicking, and LBJ is leading the charge. Whenever an NBA season has gone on for the past 17 seasons the king has always been up there as guys to have a good season. However, Lebron is doing things this season that are helping the Lakers have a real shot at winning a title. He is having a career year in assists per game with 10.6 a night, his shooting efficiency is not as terrible as it has been in the past few years, and overall he is creating a solid locker room of guys who seem to get along and all know their roles. Lebron already was having a great season before the shutdown, but something tells me that there is a chip on his shoulder to lead the Lakers to a ring and I am excited to see it.
