The Money Fight Part 2?
On August 27th, 2016, fight fans around the world witnessed the ultimate clash in combat sports with the two-division champ Conor McGregor taking on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. The nickname to this fight was The Money Fight due to the over 55 million dollar gate and 4.3 million pay-per-view buys. Both fighters were largely compensated of course with a nine-figure salary given to Mayweather and McGregor tripled his net worth.
Due to recent news MMA and Boxing fans could possibly be looking to a second money fight. This time with boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson taking on the number one UFC Pound for Pound Fighter and Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Recently Jon Jones has gone to Twitter to talk about his feelings in the UFC. The Light Heavyweight Champion has stated that he believes the UFC fighters are underpaid when you compare them to Boxers. As Jones has been preaching for what he believes, Mike Tyson has been in the news for possibly coming back to boxing. The two have been now talking on Twitter for a possible Boxing Match. Tyson stated that if Jones wants the big salary, he has to fight him in the ring. Jones responded with a counteroffer saying that he also wants to fight the boxing legend in the octagon.
