The Heat is On!

Bam Adebayo, now in his third season with the Miami Heat has quickly developed into an NBA all star.  The versatile PF/C drastically increased his production on both sides of the ball this season and alongside Jimmy Butler has helped to elevate the Heat as a threat in the East for the first time since Lebron’s departure around 6 years ago.  Defensively he is a wall, posting some of the best advanced metrics in the league for a big, and also dishing the ball to his teammates more effectively than most big men. His season stat averages read as follows, 16.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and lastly 1.3 blocks.  What does all this mean for the Heat this postseason? Well, to be frankly honest it’s uncertain what the Heat will do, they have one of the highest ceilings out of the upper half of the East, and one of the lowest floors as well. In the bubble it will be hard to tell right away which teams have adjusted well, but if the Heat can keep up their defensive prowess and intensity, do not be surprised if they make it as far as the conference finals and give the Bucks issues along the way.
