Leviss’s Recruit Spotlight: Brenden Rice

I didn’t expect any wide receiver to trump the greatness of Jerry Rice. However, it is only fitting that his son, Brenden Rice, might be the one to take the title. The 6’2”, 204 lb Colorado WR from Hamilton High School in Arizona is already ahead of his father who went to small-school Mississippi Valley State. Brenden is quick to say his grind is his own, as he separates his future from the name on his jersey.

Brenden received 21 offers and appeared to be leaning toward Michigan before committing, much to many people‘s surprise, to Colorado. At Hamilton High, he racked up an impressive 2,139 receiving yards to go along with 27 TDs. Although the Buffaloes lost head coach Mel Tucker in the off-season, Rice is determined to be a strong asset to the team. Prepare to see the Rice name extend its glory.
