IU Plans to Test All Students Prior to Return
As a student who studies at Indiana University I am extremely happy that I get to return to the best college in the country later next month. However, IU released a statement today saying that each student must be tested before they return to campus in August. And, maybe it is just me, but I am really happy that they are doing this. IU is requiring each student to get tested within the 10 day period before they go back to campus and to report the results to administration. Personally, I believe it is the right move that the university is making. By making sure every student gets tested allows for everyone to return to campus being negative for COVID-19 prior to the start of school lowering the chances for an outbreak on campus. Props to IU for coming out with the statement and I hope (if not already) others school follow in suit for the safety of the students. At the end of the day, there still might be an outbreak from students traveling on a plane to get to school. But this is a good step, in my opinion, to lower the chances for an outbreak at school.
Indiana, were all for you!
