FANTASY FOOTBALL BABY! WE ARE ALMOST BACK! Hopefully your excited as I am for this (hopefully) upcoming season. For this article, I am going to give you my Top 10 picks for this season for both PPR(points per reception) and Non-PPR(no points per reception) leagues. I have won in both of my leagues for the past two years straight. Some call it luck, I call it talent and a little bit of luck with some help from the wire. But whether it was luck or talent, I still have been back to back champs in both leagues.
Let’s start off with the Non-PPR. Because receptions are not counted, Wide Receivers are less valuable so my top 10 will be RB heavy.
Non-PPR Rankings for Top 10 picks
Christian McCaffery
Saquon Barkley
Michael Thomas
Ezekiel Elliott
Derrick Henry
Dalvin Cook
Alvin Kamara
Davante Adams
Nick Chubb
Aaron Jones/Julio Jones
McCaffery is the obvious at #1, he has been unbelievable. Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb should be a surprise for many as I have them ranked way higher than what ESPN, CBS, or Yahoo have them. I believe they are must haves this year as they are coming into the season very strong and were top 5 backs in the last 8 weeks of the season. I think Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb will finish Top 5 for the entire season so look for them. Michael Thomas is the only Wide Receiver worth taking in the Top 10 because of how dominant he is.Â
Now for PPR Rankings, receptions are counted for and so Wide Receivers are way more valuable and you will see the changes in my Top 10 for PPR.Â
PPR Rankings for Top 10 Picks
Christian McCaffery
Michael Thomas
Saquon Barkley
Ezekiel Elliott
Derrick Henry
Davante Adams
Dalvin Cook
Deandre Hopkins
Julio Jones
Tyreek Hill
A lot more Wide Receivers should be taken in PPR leagues. Michael Thomas is 2 as he is by far the best Wide Receiver in this draft and in PPR he is a money machine. I have Davante as high as 6 here, which may be a little high but he should be in the 6-8 range. Deandre Hopkins is at 8, I think Kyler will find him the ball and if so, he could be dominant. Julio and Tyreek are nice late First Round picks to have a solid WR1 to start the draft and then early 2nd I would definitely pick up a RB like Aaron Jones, Nick Chubb, or Alvin Kamara may be there.Â
Hopefully this will help you with your drafts. Email me at bhalpern9@gmail.com if you need any more advice for your fantasy drafts. Â
